In a concession to the reality that gambling in the United States is not only here to stay but growing more and more commonplace a bill was recently intoduced into the House of Representatives for Federal money to be used for the treatment of gambling addictions.
As more and more states turn to gambling revenues to offset budget deficits some groups are saying that the level of gambling induced problems are rising.
While not actually pointing to figures that place this in the realm of reality these groups, like the Gambling Council, are concerned that people should be educated on the potential problems that can arise with increased gambling.
Maybe they will legalize online gambling and use the tax revenues to pay for the treatment of problem gamblers.
