One of my common strategies when it comes to playing slots, is to test a machine with low bets and if it´s hot, I am upping my betsize. Works well for me at landbased casinos and at the good old online gambling days.

No I feel things have changed, immediatly (no matter what software) when I´m upping my betsize, I feel like I can´t hit any feature or good payout anymore.

Is it just me or my bad luck?

This is very interesting Seaman! I dont Play that much, but If I play and do hit nice lines.
I start to raise my bets, and dont hit a damn thing...

Onces I played Cash Pillar on a 10 Bet, hit the Free Spins and won about 25....
Thats just Crazy....

I dont have this at Video Poker. I did play a few times on a 10/25 Euro Bet when
I had a nice amount of credits.

And I still hit pretty nice and I was even able to double up and double up...

Definately. I had an issue with a site just last week. I always play the minimum stakes and on this occasion, had a bit of luck and got my balance up to £180. I then went up to the max £2 stake, and although I tried several different slots, never won a thing, and lost my money in minutes. I sent an email to the relavent site explaining that at land based casinos, the higher the stake, the higher the percentage,i.e you have a better chance of hitting a win. I had a reply saying that my average payout had been a respectable 94% but they understood my concern and offered me a nice bonus with my next deposit. But I'm sure that the percentage quoted was for when I was playing on minimum stake, because I didnt have a win on max. They obviously missed the point I made or chose to ignore it.
But anyone playing online slots should realize from experience that if you play high stakes, the wins and bonus rounds are a lot less frequent

I 100% think it does but not as such with slots...

small bets with slots = quite a few small wins and an occasional but rare big win
big bets with slows = usually very few small wins and even less big wins but when it does pay a big win its massive :D (more often than not)

blackjack on the other hand is 100% about bet size. At many casinos iv played at I could be betting £1 and £2 a hand and get many excellent hands in a row... but then I higher the bet to £4+ and every single hand is 15's a 16's compared to dealers 20,21 or blackjack

I think once I proved a theory that the result in blackjack is determined before you hit the deal button.

Once I played at this site (its not rogue its accredited casino). It was a while back so I cant remember the exact scenario but it was something like dealer showed a 7... I had to 10's... so I split...

hand 1 was 17.. I stood, hand 2 was 16... Again I stood..... dealers cards unfolded... he had a 9 so that was 16 and obviously hit and got a 4 sp had 20 and I lost...

now that hand stuttered or bugged or something and it refreshed the state back to where I split the cards, Again I stood on 17... where I had 16 I knew the dealer had hit previously and had a 4... so I hit thinking id get that 4... but i got a 10 and bust... dealer than had 18 lol

This showed me that blackjack result is fixed as soon as you hit deal and no matter what you do its already set the maximum you can win on that hand and the cards that are to be dealt...

It makes me wonder as well if say you bet £5 and get 11, if the maximum it set to pay you for that had is £10 you can double and of course get nothing... or if you normally hit you could well have 21.

Certainly slots are a lot wider ranged than online card games
