Once again the European Union is giving the United States, actually the current President and His Cabinet, a chance to reach a settlement over losses incurred by member countries since passage of the Internet Gambling Ban.

This is a direct result of the action taken by the United States when they froze and/or seized over $30 million dollars in Poker Player accounts.

Check this link for further details: FBI has put a freeze online poker accounts

The European Union states that as things stand the United States is in violation of existing trade agreements with other countries.

President Obama, while on the campaign trail, said that one of his major goals was to make amends in regard to the U.S. relationship with the rest of the world. What an easy and beneficial way to get started by repealing this ridiculous bill.

Interestingly enough, even if the bill is repealed, this may not solve the difficulties that have arisen between the United States and the European Union. If the U.S. shows a bias and allows U.S. based casinos first shot at the Online licenses this will create a whole new area of contention with the E.U.

Watch here for further details as they become available.
