On August 18th The US government began the procedure of returning money earned in online gambling to people around the US who were owed the money from BetOnSports.com.
The United States government website "forfeiture.gov" put a notice online asking for anyone who believes they are owed some of the $43.65 million seized to file a written petition for their lost funds.
But don't think that the government has had a sudden attack of conscience. The portion of the money that is not claimed will be kept by them. They also have the right to refuse any of the claims if they deem them inacurate.
It is a step in the right direction though.
