If you would like to to thank to a post
you should see in posts such a button
You just have to click it.
That button does not show up in posts which are older than 2 weeks or so.
And also not in your own posts of course.

yes i have understanded. I haven't never seen this thanks button but probably because each thread i'm looking are 2 more than 2 week older.
