Just reading the news and was made aware of the anniversary of his death. I may be showing my age here, but he's known to have written some of the most poignant music of folklore to date.

He tragically died in a plane crash at the young age of 30. Wow, I can't believe it's been over 40 years. His songs still play on the radio today. Anyone remember Bad, Bad Leroy Brown or Time in a Bottle?

My all time favorite is this. Close your eyes and see what the music was all about. This guy wasn't all about the guts and glory. He was about the music and the way it made you feel. Would love to see this song revised in some way.

Thanks Jim for the feelings. I may have only been a young girl at the time, but the calm your music gives me is endless.

Still get goose bumps when I hear it.

Great song Kotsy! I love "handmade"folklore music. I like to listen Joan Baez, Peter, Paul & Mary and my favourite Townes van Zandt of course.
