In what is a growing trend among the individual states, Minnesota has dropped its' opposition to Online Gambling and instead has decided to focus on regulation procedures.

When a bill was introduced this year that would have required that each ISP block access to online gambling sites the outcry by various public action groups was so great that the state finally came to realize, as more and more states are realizing, regulation is the answer.

Not only does regulation maintain the rights of those of legal age to access the Internet sites of their choosing it also provides much needed tax revenue for the state coffers.

It is interesting to follow this story as state after state decides that maybe the Federal Government was wrong about Internet Gaming. We can only hope that sooner, rather than later, the United States Government will come to see that the banning of Internet Gambling was not the wisest decision.
