I try to forget my bad beats but this one has stuck with me.This was a few yrs ago but it went something like this.I get pocket aces (ten player table) and buddy raises , I re-raise and he pushes..........so I call(everyone else folds).We see hole cards and he has............POCKET ACES spade and heart.When we see the hole cards it's like hardy har har.......look at that (figure it will be a split pot).Flop comes with three spades, (gets my attention)...turn card a heart , and...........RIVER A SPADE!Talk about nasty cards/luck.This was on Poker Stars btw.I've played alot of hands over the years and have gotten pretty much every poker hand a few times over but have never had this hand replay (thankfully).As they say......that's poker.

That is painfull, I have a had a similiar hand where all the money goes into the pot pre-flop because he over-betted (which made him pot commited) and I raised him all-in with pocket aces. He turned over aces as well so it was pretty much looking like a split pot.

He has As Ah and I have Ad Ac.

The flop a spade, a diamond and another spade. Turn card: spade and the river card stuck in my memory King of Spades!!! He hit a flush.

OWW! It was so painfull because we both had deepstacks and where about an hour into the MTT and he left me so crippled it was unbelievable I had something like 326 chips left and the blinds were something like 100/200. It hurt sooo much, but like you say- that's poker and bad beats like this is why we love the game so much. My bad beat is pretty much mirroring yours apart from my bad beat worse worse because he got runner, runner spades for a back-door flush that was 98% chance that it would be a chop.

In fact, when I do gardening I use a fork for revenge.

I just posted not long ago a similar situation i had
with this very scenario, AA vs. AA, except mine was at a home game and 1st hand.
With online poker, you come to expect that this sort of thing will happen,
but when you play a home game, you really never think such a thing would happen,

The only problem with it, was that i was on the winning side of the coin, hehe

This happened yesterday, i was playing a freeroll and i was very short stacked compared to the other players i had 2000 chips and the guys in my table had above 9000 chips, i caught AA and i did all-in, one player called all-in 2000 chips, another player raised 4000 chips two other players called that same raise with 4000 chips, on the pot was about 16000 chips, on the flop i was great ahead, on the turn i started to be scared because a heart cames out and gave a flush draw possibility the another player, and on the river appeard a jack making set of jacks to one of my opponents, i say no more..........

I've had this situation but the the canadian aces as well. (Canadian Aces is poker lingo for the ladies)

What did make me swear at my computer moniter was when someone hit runner, runner 2's to make quad deuces to outdraw my full house aces over tens.

Hi, my worst bad beat was at bwin 1 month ago, I had in hand 55, the flop comes and appears 585, and thought...ok i have poker,it is impossible to be beaten, i raised i little bit and my oppenent re-raised to all-in. I call and in the turner appears Q and in the river another 8.When he showed his hand and i saw 88. The bastard won with an high poker. As if it wasn't enough i stayed in 4rd place and i dind'y won any prize. Just the top 3 was paid! That really sucks

Pre-Flop blackoly calls $0.04, jempy74 folds, bundy1983 folds, (I limp in with my 9 2 hoping to see the flop) Arachnaphid calls $0.02, nandwei bets $0.10 (Sadly I don't get to see the flop as the Big Blind raises to $0.14, UTG (under the gun player) blackoly calls $0.10, and I fold (Arachnaphid folds).

RATS!!! I would have flopped two-pair!!!

What's more is that I would have got alot of action as nandwei bets $0.10, blackoly raises to$0.21 and is all-in, nandwei calls $0.11.

After the flop and nandwei led out with $0.10, I would have probably raised nandwei to about $0.30, then blackoly would have called and been all in. Then nandwei is either going to re-raise me all in or call which would lead to all the money in on the turn and I would be way ahead and looking likely to double up. I was kicking myself at this, even though it was the correct move to fold before the flop after BB (nandei) bet $0.10 (I probs shouldn't have limped on the SB anyway). :sad:

Well, decided to play a quick sit-n-go tournament at Big Bet Poker today and received a nice beat of my own to take me out on the bubble.

I had tried to make a move a couple hands before on this really agressive player
and missed my draw leaving me 300 chips. I managed to triple up and get back to about
1300 chips, and in the big blind, i picked up JJ.

The aggressive player was to my right in the small blind and just knew he would raise
and just like i thought, he did. He raised to about 750 chips and i pushed allin looking for
a nice double-up to get back into contention to take this tournament down, then on on the river, he was blessed:
