The Purple Lounge online gambling operator, a long-time licensee of Microgaming, is set to switch to the Swedish-based Entraction network recently acquired by IGT.
Reporting on the move, Card Player says the company's management has confirmed the switch, which will become effective on January 16 2012.
On that date, Purple Lounge will join other operators like Victor Chandler at Entraction, which runs the successful European Masters of Poker tour across Europe.
Management at Purple Lounge told Card Player: “As we all know, the online poker industry is an ever changing and fast-evolving one, and Purple Lounge is evolving too.
“Moving network becomes a crucial part of this process. Entraction is [now] backed by one of the biggest gaming companies in the world, so you are in reliable network-hands, today and tomorrow.
“The bad news is that we currently can’t accept Danish players, but the good news is that we can on Entraction! Not only that, we have a specific solution for Danish players that will be available within the next 10 days.
“It is with great regret that once we migrate onto Entraction we are no longer able to accept players from Russia, Estonia and Canada."
