Rescued a Wolly Caterpillar...so I thought

    For a few days, this adorable creature was on my back porch and my son said he is frozen and dead.

    Me being the animal lover I am, brought him inside to see what could be done.

    Now I am reading and they go like this in the winter months. Only to uncurl and come out of hibernation in the Spring to turn into a moth...arrgghhh

    So I have this little guy sitting next to my computer in a nice new home and now what? He's uncurled and eating lettuce.

    I think I messed with mother nature. Will try to get a pic of him in the morning. Still cute as heck though.

    Kotsy,

    I too am an animal lover it's just something in our heart that we cannot control :) If it were me I would nurse it until it is a little bigger and set it free into the world. Maybe you and your son can make it a special moment together when letting it back into nature.

    Very interesting animal.. just wonder how they figured out which end is the head :D

    actually the pic I posted was from online. will see if I can get one of him. as far as the head? I just see which end is eating.......lmao

    might have to take him to work as hubby is threatening to flush him and the cat keeps putting his head in the jar.
