Quite sure I mentioned something about this ages but to put it simply the lamers of the industry need a name a shame session concerning some of their emails.

Many casinos try to use as many tactics as they can use to almost fool us into gambling... some have a bit of credibility but many dont, so hopefully I can point out a few that dont... take this classic email I had today:

Email title: You have received £50 to play for free‏

Beginning of email:

£50 to play for - All for free!
We have given you £50 in bonus money to play our fun and exciting games.

(Sound good to me)

Rest of email:

The only thing you need to do to access the money is to make a deposit of the same amount or greater at Mr123 Games, and the money will be visible in your user account.

You can see in each games info box if you can play the with bonus and you win real money instantly when playing with your bonus money!

Click here to get your £50!

That is nothing but a confusion scam tactic... They are blatantly trying to lure people into depositing and covering up a 100% match bonus as "£50 free". The email was sent directly from MR123 games email address as well..

I totally agree Sparkz. I am sick to the back teeth of being "given" free this and free that, only to find out that you have to deposit to collect your freebie. I'm so fed up with it that I just delete these kind of emails without even opening them, and before long, the casinos themselves:sad:

couldnt agree more at all, although i no longer deposit my own cash at casinos anymore I certainly wouldnt touch a casino thats sent emails trying to mislead people.

Typically thoese are also the places where you click "unsubscribe" and the page is broken

Another thing.... was checking through todays spam and have seen the amount of bingo "free bbz".

Now of course there was a thread where I wondered peoples views on these bbz which are basically free money.. some liked them some didnt... but what I have seen more recently is the trickery used to promote them...

Seen this email today:

Just dropped in to let you know that you have Money waiting for you in your account!!
Yes, you've got BBz and guess what ?? We have s surprise for you ....
You are entitled for 5 Bbs absolutely FREE!! So why not come and play?? All you need to do is LOGIN and CLAIM YOUR 5 FREE NOW!!
Our Daily PJP game with £5000 is up for grabs and you could just BINGO anytime! You never know, you might just get LUCKY ;)
CLICK HERE TO CLAIM YOUR FREE 5 BBs NOW!

Perhaps I need to order some glasses but if im correct they seem to be trying to say I could get lucky with my 5bbz and win the "progressive jackpot"... I think theres a switch so you cant win a jackpot with bbz because how annoyed would someone be if they won the jackpot and were told "free money winnings cannot be cashed out" lol

another today... waste of space:

Title: Your email have been chosen, YOU WON!

Email content:
3 WINNING SCRATCH CARDS!

To check how much you won please follow the following steps:

1. Enter Scratch2Cash
2. Get your 5£ Free - it will give you up to 10 scratch cards.
3. 3 out of the 10 scratch cards will win!
Find the winning scratch cards yourself.

Well what could be wrong with this email? a title to tempt people to open it... but again its basically scamming and misleading people

Like anything weather its the national lottery or casinos its based on odds,

for real scratchcards I buy they say something like "on average 1 in 3.64 wins", but still you can buy 5 or 6 of them and not win a thing...

they are trying to say you will win 3 times for free out of 10 scratch cards bought with the free £5... but going back to the odds system that 1 in 3 chance, however all cards may be losing...

and it doesnt say a think about having to wager it...

more misleading rubbish and definately another 1 to avoid :D

And... another today but this 1 seriously makes my blood boil.. No wonder i hate bingo and bingo "no deposit" bonuses so much...

I go this email today which the title was:

"Tombola Summer Fete at Emmerdale plus £25 free‏"

Obviously "£25 free" especially when it comes to a bingo site is to be taken with a pinch of salt because they try to decieve players saying "£25 free" (and in tiny writing "when you deposit £25", then mention nothing about WR until you have deposited...

Anyways onto the email:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tombola, the UK's Biggest online bingo site and sponsor of Emmerdale, has some fantastic promotions planned for July!

Tombola is giving you a chance to win a day out to the Tombola Summer Fete at Emmerdale Village. The Summer Fete is set to launch on August 21 with tons of fun activities, great food and the winners can meet the cast members of Emmerdale!

Entries for the competition begin Monday, July 12. All you have to do is sign up, deposit and play and you are entered!

Speaking of signing up, become a new member and receive £25 free!

What: Tombola Summer Fete

When: Starting July 12- August

Where: Tombola

HOW TO ENTER:

Step 1: Go to Tombola.com

Step 2: Click "Join Now" (right-hand corner)

Step 3: Fill out the simple registration form

Step 5: Get £25 free!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So to anyone it clearly shows you get £25 when you join... no small print saying "must deposit first". It does say to join entrys for the emmerdale fete you must deposit and play...

But as per the "how to enter" steps. It says register and then have £25 free...

If you notice closely "Step 4" is not there... It was sent from moneyballbingo.co.uk which im guessing is 1 of them sites which displays loads of bingo websites and bonuses on 1 page...

Either tombola have goofed and put "5" in instead of "4" or moneyballbingo.co.uk are up to rogue misleading tactics to mislead players into thinking they are getting £25 free when really they have to deposit to get that free.

I signed up expecting the £25 free and I didnt notice "step 4" was missing... asked support and they said they dont offer it...

As I have a bit of time on my hands im gonna have words with tombola... if its true they are misleading players in this way then there should be no reason for tombola not to close their affiliate account and forfeit cash they made :D muhahahhaaaa

"Thank you for your email and comments, I can confirm that the data contained in
the email you received was not the original copy approved by tombola.

We have contacted the affiliate and highlighted the issues raised by yourself. I
can confirm that they will take the necessary steps to ensure this does not happen
again.

Thank you for taking your time to provide us with feedback.

Should you have any further issues please do not hesitate to contact me.

Take Care,"

lmao, so either its bullcrap or moneyballbingo are in trouble :D

I got another email today from them and theyve done exactly the same thing to dream bingo (so that shows they are definately misleading players to joining and playing at bingo sites so they get extra cash)... prooves they are idiots too because they cant even rename step 5 to step 4

I feel like a school kid whos run off to tell the teacher lol

Haha some epic ones there...

I cant believe mikes 1:

"You are entitled to a $500 NO DEPOSIT bonus at Bwin Poker."

then

"simply signup for a real player account, MAKE A FIRST DEPOSIT"

thats the sorta 1's where people may only notice "$500 no deposit bonus", signup, realise they wont be getting the nd bonus but think "thoese games look awesome!! i'll just deposit £20 and have a go at em".... then 5 mins later "oh crap... lost... shouldnt of deposited there"
