after many years of being a fruit machine player myself i think its about time i had 1 for the home :D

who else has ever had 1 for use at home?

it hit me the other day actually, often when im out either down the pub or at a club for a night out i put money into a fruit machine, sometimes i win, sometimes i lose... but to have 1 in the home i suppose i'll be winning all the time and it could well prevent me having my fix of spinning when im out and the possibility of losing.

it seems like a great idea for saving money, load it up with 50 or so £1 coins, then if i only have a few £ left to my name i could play on it and possibly have more money for that day as well as saving up a small fortune in the back that i can empty every few months and buy something nice with :D

    ooohh the possibilitys :D

You know there was a time when I actually spent $400 and bought a slot machine to use at home, this was before online casinos were popular, which kinda gives away my age I suppose...It took dollar tokens. I had the same idea that maybe if I had one to play at home that would keep me out of the land based casinos...After a few times playing it I came to realize that there was just not the same thrill there winning my own money over and over. Hopefully if you go that way it will work for you. I ended up selling it. Thanks for your post. :thank you:

It is not exactly the same, but when I was young, I was a heavy pinball player. So, after throwing loads of funds over the years into pinball halls, I decided to save my funds and to buy me my own pinball.
Had fun a few weeks, but it became boring to play the same machine again and again.

Also I missed the babes around my pinball, admiring the real pinball wizzard I was.

    Sold the machine.

    OMG, what a great question!
When Mike and I where little kids.
Our parents bought a nostalgic pinball machine, and we played for hours!!!
We did even write down our scores and we always
tried to get it on TILT all the time!!!!

Later, dad bought a fruit machine!
We always played at that thing and on the back you could open it!
It was amazing to see all these lights and cables.....
And when you clicked on such a button, you had suddenly 200 credits.

Marina what did Mike bought the last time??????????:lmao::lmao:
Is it still on the balcony...........

Ahh, Ellis just dont remind me on that.

Mike was searching the net for fruit machines
Well then he found a cheap offer for such an old "dont ask" chit, rof

He acted like , he cannot live without it,
so he contacted the guy who sold those old fruit machines and of course it did not take long that Mike was on his way to collect this thing.

Well, I had to help him carry up this heavy old thing up the stairs,
then he finally had it there where he wanted it.

Then he was very busy with it,
opened all and looked at all, and he wanted to play
Cool, then he found out the Euro Coins dont work,
lmao, it was a very old slot who still ran with Holland Gulden.
Then he was a few days busy to maybe find another way to play on that thing
    rof

After a few days he gave up,
that thing finally landed on our balcony, where it was for over 1 year
I said many times "throw out this chit" but he answered, "well its to heavy to bring down"
    lmaoooo

    Now its finally gone,
he did bring it away in pieces, rof

    Well I say only ....

    MEN! :lmao:

    I do !!!!!!

I have a pub fruit machine!

Hours of fun for free, I love it and well worth the fun. I know don't waste my money in a pub fattening the landlords bank balance by stuffing pound coins into the machine, I can enjoy the fun at home for free. I have hit the jackpot so many times now, I have lost count.

Great thread by the way Sparkz and welcome to this lovely forum

Well my friend, when we finally meet, i will show you who the true pinball wizard is though. I was BIG into pinball and loved playing and always competed to get the high scores.

This one place , like a batting cage and fun center, we used to have some great pinball battles! It Was Awesome, one time i had this AWESOME run on the T2(terminator2) Pinball machine, to give you an idea how great the run was, high score was like 600,000, and i had just now eclipsed that high score on the 1st ball!!!!(after about 5 free balls on the 1st ball)

I was the T2 pro, and was looking to break the unheard of Billion point mark, and the guys thought it would be funny to trip the breaker, and turn the machine off. They didn't realize how competitive i was, and how much it would piss me off.

When they did it, i could not believe that they done it!!!! I was SOOOOOOOO MADDD!!!
I did not talk to them the rest of the night, and nor did i come to work the next day, i was pissed!!! I always loved pinball, but anymore, hard to find a well taken care of machine to play, all always are unlevel, bumpers are dead, things get hung up, Pinball definitely isn't the same as it used to be now a days.

    Also, MIKE!!!! :lmao: :lmao::lmao:

Fruits slot??? WAYYYY Tooo Funnyyy!!!!! :lmao:

iv never been a big pinball player, but i do remember the addams family pinball machine at the local club, what fun that was

think i may as well invest in my dream machine, i'll just have to make sure i find a nice spot for him, make sure he doesnt get cold, feed him til he's full, dont think taking him for walks would be a problem

Awesome, the adams family pinball machine was another great one!

Some of my favorite parts of it was the little saying,

like when she says, "gomez" I always made fun of it saying "Gonads" :lmao:

    And he would say "Tish"

but my favorite was the one special part where they " THE MAMUSKA!!!" oh and also

"HIT COUSIN IT!!!" hehe, thanks haven't seen this one in a long time. Definitely a great pinball machine!

Exactly! Haven´t played for years now, because the new machines suck. Oh the good old days, T2 was my all time favourite.
Another reason to stop playing was when my son startet to beat my highscores...
Hope we meet one day D., can´t wait for the competition..lol.

You should have asked me, I for sure still have some guldens from my Amsterdam trips at the early 80´s.

A few times I was considering buying one. But I'm not sure how much fun it would be away from the casino. I mean the reason why most people go to the casinos is for the thrill of winning. Im not sure how much fun it would be away from that. I don't know.. If you do get one, be sure to post back and let us know how you liked it :)
