This may seem like it was my fault but it was not. I had a bank here in Canada close my account a couple years ago because I had gambling transactions. The account was closed because of the deposits and withdrawals I made. I was so stunned and did not think that this could happen but I complied without a fight. I went down to the bank and signed the papers to close the account. I did not have to close the account but they would not allow me to do any more gambling transactions. I am by no means rich so it was not that I was spending too much or bills were going unpaid. They just did not like the fact I was gambling. I often sit here now and wonder if they had a right to do so? Is this not big brother telling me where and how I can spend my money? It is not illegal in Canada to participate in online gambling. Even the provincial lotto system has online gaming now. I had to close my account and rearrange all of my finances. It was a lot of work, and I felt like I had done something wrong. Did anyone else have this experience? Did you fight it or do the same as me?

Since I am in the USA, anything coded gambling could possibly close your account. I don't even deal with the banks anymore. It's too much of a hassle. I play at places that will issues checks and take deposits with pre-paid cards. Even then I hold my breath everytime.

Part of it is they thank the transactions may be of a higher scheme for money laundering. But I believe the government feels like they are missing out on something and put all of these rules into place.

my bank also have closed my bank account, but that was because I got a higher amount from gambling, without thinking about any consequences... the casino told me that time, that it is only possible to withdraw to my bankaccount, so I said yes. I got also a letter from the police because of money laundering. I had to take a lawer, all went good at the end, because I told the truth ( money is from gambling)...but I was not allowed to reopen my bankaccount. Had to open a new one...
from this day on I only pay via skrill ( I do also have a prepaid credit card from them, to take the money directly from my skrillaccount if I have won sth, without doing any banktransfers from skrill to my bank account), so there are only transaction to skrill ("" to put money on my prepaid creditcard"" :p)

@deemac80 but I think Skrill isn't any longer an option for you ( you are from Canada, right?)... perhaps you can use neteller or sth like this ( there is also a prepaid creditcard available, which you can use like I do use my skrillcard...?

No unfortunately I cannot use Skrill or Neteller for gambling purposes. I have been with my bank now a couple years and I have not had any issues with them and withdrawals. I think it is our money and we should be able to spend it where we like. After all you can go to a casino and do this :)
I use my credit cards, the ones that allow me too. I just don't like the fees associated with this. :p

@deemac80 I understand... I also cannot understand, why we are always under controll about our money and our bankaccount and all this... if I want to gamble my house away (only a joke, but as an example) I should be allowed to do so, if noone is included or have any disadvantages because of it!.... Hate that "Big brother is watching you thing" the government is doing to all of us!:(

fortunately we are still able to do some tricks to do what we want to :p

Omg.. my english becomes worse and worse:oops::oops::oops:
