We can safely say that the online gambling industry is mostly made up of legitimate online casinos that operate in a secure and transparent way. Unfortunately, from time to time, we come across sites that at best are slightly shady and dubious. On closer inspection, some of these sites have proven to be scams, sometimes offering fake games and claiming that they are powered by top software groups, even though they are not.

Recently, it came to our attention that Casino60 was caught offering fake slot games.

LCB.org reported that the site was offering slot games that were not original versions and claimed that the games are unlicensed counterfeits of some of the most popular games in the industry.

Many players can’t tell the different between fake and genuine games, simply because they don’t have the professional eye to spot the differences.
However, leave it up to the experts at LCB and Bonus Paradise to point out the real thing and warn you about the dangers of pirated games.

Taking the scam Casino60 site as a case in point, it was soon made clear that the games were pirated due to their simplistic and amateur look. The site also claimed that it had a Costa Rica license which basically meant that its license wasn’t recognized by any gambling jurisdiction that called itself an authority. What gave the game away for many was the fact that Canadian online gamblers had no problem accessing the NetEnt titles at the online casino, even though players from Canada are generally barred from NetEnt games due to local laws. Players with a keener eye reported that the online casino games were full of glitches and didn’t hold up to the high standards usually held by casino software groups.

What drew the most attention with the guys from LCB though is that the entire offering of games was hosted on the brand’s own domain, despite the fact that original games must always be hosted on the software provider’s official server.

All these red flags together, led to LCB.org issuing a warning against playing on this site, and we reiterate their warning for all our visitors to take note.

This isn’t the first time that we at Bonus Paradise have had to issue a warning to our players.

In October last year, we reported that Matrix Casino was a hoax because it tried to convince players that they carried genuine NetEnt and Novomatic slots.

We also reported on our decision to stop promoting online casinos that were part of the AffPower affiliate brand, believing that AffPower casinos were using pirated NetEnt games on their sites, and thus warning players to stay away from a list of fraudulent casinos.

Players take heed.
