I just want to rant about the fact that my favorite Poker site has been ruined. I used to play on Doyle's Room every day. It was the second poker site I joined and quickly became my fave but then they changed it, and I survived the changes and actually got to like it almost as much as when I started playing there. Now less than a year later after they improved everything about the site they switched to the cake poker network. This was not a good move. I already play on Cake and the New Doyles Room is a poor comparison to even that site. The old Doyle`s Room had a Daily qualifying freeroll for entry into the weekly $1000 tournament and then they introduced the sharpshooter tourneys which were one of my favorite things about this site. Now they don`t have either of these tourneys. Cake at least has the $1000 qualifying tournament and it is limited to only 7 players per qual. tourney. The site used to have 10 cent tourneys and for those of us with not a lot of money you could get a game almost any time of the day cheaply. I have only played on the NEW :confused:Doyle`s Room a couple of times since they changed over and unless they start to bring back what worked about their previous site then there is a very good chance that they will not see me returning as a regular player.

Don't give up on Doyle's Room quite yet. I have been told
that not everything has been completely updated and they are still working
on adding different features to the new Doyle's Room. Give them some time, and
see how they come along, as i don't think it will remain exactly how it is atm.

I haven't totally given up on them yet and in the meantime I have the luxury of playing on a site that is almost identical to the old Doyle's Room. I t doesn't have the quickdraws or the sharpshooters but it is essetially the same site. The name of the site is Crazy Poker

Crazy Poker is another great poker room powered by Microgaming. But they do not allow USA players anymore due to the fact of the restrictions the Microgaming Software has placed on the poker rooms using their software. This is the main reason Doyles Room changed their software once again, as the Cake Poker Network allows all USA players.

I agree totally. I hope they bring back the Quickdraw tourneys. They don't have any freerolls any more. I had over 1700 comp points (worth $17.00 in tourney entries) that I lost when they changed over. They started me off with 7 gold chips, though. Not sure if that was supposed to make up for my points or if they gave chips to everyone. All in all, there are too many of my former favorite poker sites on the Cake network. (I have Cake, BETUS, Third Bullet, Gutshot, Players Only, and now Doyles.) Oh, and now Pokerhost went to Cake, too. That makes 7 sites on my least favorite network! Of course, you can only be logged in to one of their sites at a time, so there are always timing conflicts. Arghhhhhhhhhhh.

Yes the same network at one time thing really sucks if you have more than one game on the same network, this is also the same for the merge gaming network as well. With our games, we try our best not to schedule any of our games from BP so that none conflict with each other.

Also, everyone that had comp points at Doyle's Room, their points were converted to gold chips. So, everyone got some type of credit for their comp points on their old software. Might not be as good as their old comp point system, but at least you got some credit for them and they weren't totally lost.

I look for them to really bring back alot more things they once had, but like i say, they still have lots of updates to complete. For instance, we are still waiting on a continuence of a league we were running there at the old software on Doyle's Room, but their private games part at the new software isn't completely ready yet, so we are still waiting on the green light to continue our league.

So look for things to keep changing for the better for right now at Doyle's Room,
and time will tell what changes will be made.

Doyles moving to the cake network helped me out a lot. I live in Michigan and was able to join doyles on microgamming but i couldn't deposit or withdraw because my state was banned. I won over $150 from their freerolls and then one day they banned my IP address. When they moved to Cake network my money transferred over and I was able to withdraw it.

I am also very glad that doyles has changed there software providers. Previously, I won money on there and wasnt even allowed to cash out without going through a long drawn out withdrawing process. Now all my transactions have been fast and the support team is more persistent.

Boy, my timing is way off. I used to play on Gutshot when they were with Microgaming. I never deposited, and built up my bankroll over $200 from freerolls, small buy-ins, and casino winnings. They even let me cash out $200 once. Then I won a $50 buy-in tourney for about $850, and built that up to $2400. I tried for over a year to cash out, but they had no options for U.S. players. I finally gave up, and treated my bankroll like play money, eventually losing all but $50. Then they switched to Cake. Arghhhhhhhhhh. If I had just waited a few months longer............

In response to my earlier post about Doyles Room where I said that if they didn't get it together soon they would lose me as a player well thats off now. They have re-instituted the Sunday Grand and the daily qualifiers which were the tournaments I liked most on the original site. They still do not have the sharpshooters, but they have mini bounty tournies that are similar. In addition to the Regular Doyle's Bounty tourney they added the beat the Brunsons tourney which I played in last week and even though I placed just out of the money it was still a challenging tournament. I must add that I never got to have a bounty at my table and that I outlasted Doyle by a large margin; but I did not have a bounty on my head though. Hope they keep improving the site

Are they going to do the Quick-draw tourneys any more? I thought those were a fun change of pace, and they started my bankroll there. Haven't played on the Cake network.

while i liked doyles when they were on microgaming i still think it is a decent site. they now have the sunday grand tourny which you can gain entry by finishing top 100 out of each daily tourny they run. for anybody without money there this is a decent way to build a nice bankroll.

I like other pokerroms better like Bwin,Coolhandpoker,Bestpoker,Hollywoodpoker,Dailypoker

That was no so smart to loose all your money.
Did you not have no friends that you could transfere the money to like a byddytransfrer to and he helped you to get the winning money to you?

the unique problem of doyles is that are to mutch for us poker players:lmao:

anyone know why doyles room merged with cake poker ? Was surprised with the outcome of this myself

The reason for the move was because the previous software, Microgaming, pulled out of the U.S. market November 10th of last year due to the U.I.G.E.A So Doyle's Room moved to the Cake Poker Network, a growing software, To allow U.S. players once again.
