Casino Games Software developers are honing in on pop-culture themes like never before. Some of the biggest names in the industry are buying rights to create games based
on beloved film and TV productions. Here are a few of fan-favorites that have recently been converted into online slot games.

Mega Hits

Whether true classics or cult-classics, numerous well-known and favorite titles from movies and TV have made their mark in online casinos too.
There are too many to list them all, bust some of the biggest names are highlighted below.

There are actually quite a few varieties of Star Trek Slot Games available.
WMS Gaming released a series of community games for land-based casinos and has also put a version in their Jackpot Party social casino.
IGT also released two different games, which are available online and in the land-based casinos. They all have solid graphics and sound, which isn’tsurprising because
they’re made by two software giants. However, the IGT versions feature real clips and pick it up a notch. Die-hard Star Trek fans will probably play them all to no end.

Microgaming released the The Dark Knight - Batman online slot and it doesn’t disappoint. It features excellent graphics, and crisp audio. It has 5 reels and 243 paylines. Yes, 243.
It’s also loaded with audio and video clips straight out of the movie.

Playtech has done quite a few of the most popular movie conversions as well. Their line-up includes Rocky, Pink Panther, Marilyn Monroe, The Mummy and John Wayne titles.
For a very different experience, players can also try out their Monty Python online slot.

CryptoLogic released a Braveheartlot, too, as well as a Ferris Bueller’s Day Off game.
The Braveheart one is mostly animated, with classic artwork, while Ferris Bueller has images taken right from the movie.

NetEnt has an agreement with Universal, and, as such, they have some of the best ones on the market. They’ve done up Frankenstein, Scar Face, and Creature from the Black Lagoon.
The Invisible Man is due to release before the end of 2014, too. They are also the ones behind the South Park online slot game.

Comic Book and Super Hero Movies

Those into Marvel, DC, and other comic book makers are likely delighted with the number of super hero slots that are available. There’s a little something for everyone when it comes to
saving the world and fighting of evil villains. Although Marvel probably has cornered the market on comic book to movie to slot game conversions, gamers will find many to enjoy.
Again, the list is long, but some of the most popular ones include:

Alpha Squad, Avengers, Blade, Captain America, Daredevil, Electra, Fantastic 4, Ghost Rider,
Hulk, Ironman, Silver Surfer, Spiderman, The Flash, Thor, Transformers, Wolverine and X-Men

Game Shows

Several game shows have become slots as well. Old school enthusiasts will likely gravitate to The Price is Right or Wheel of Fortune. Some of the newer and trendier ones include
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, and X-factor, which have been converted into slots and are available to play today. X-factor actually has an online scratch card game as well.

Upcoming Titles

Pavillion Worldwide Group recently signed an agreement with CBS to make a few games too. Though development for them probably
hasn’t begun yet, Taxi, The Honeymooners, Monsters, Tales from the Darkside and Gunsmoke will be made into slots very soon.

Only in Land-Based Casinos

It’s a shame developers didn’t go the extra mile to convert some of their most popular titles into online varieties.
Perhaps they will in time, but until then, the following games can only be found in a brick-and-mortar casino.

The Walking Dead, Sons of Anarchy and Batman (Based on the classic TV show)

The list really goes on and on. It doesn’t matter if you’re a movie buff or a couch potato, there’s a slot game tailored to your tastes. Even people who haven’t seen a screen in a couple decades
will enjoy games based on the TV show Cheers or the long-running hit Dallas. It seems that all the common software developers have caught on that people will happily play games based on
their favorite programs and movies. As many of these companies are continuing to develop and sign new agreements with studios, there are probably dozens of new ones already in the works.

Even though they’re recycled titles, they’re a breath of fresh air for online gamers. Moreover, the casino software developers have found unique ways to enhance gameplay. Whether through
3D graphics, the inclusion of sound and video clips, or just naturally stunning artwork, these games all shine in their own ways. The best part, though, is winning some cash while playing a game
you truly enjoy. That is what makes these slots true hits.

I love playing online slot games that are developed from movies. It makes me feel familiar with them. I especially like the ones that take the action or the theme and make it into a bonus round.

Seems a lot of the online software for slots is doing it. Just look at Alice in Wonderland from Win A Day, Bruce Lee from WMS Gaming which he covered movies and television and how about one of the all time classics? The Three Stooges from RTG Software. Which has to be one of the funniest and real to life slots from RTG.

Can't wait for more and more of the television and game shows come to online slots.
