Hmmm, I received an email today in fact saying that G2G Poker was closing their doors on December 21st, 2009. Evidently, i guess they must be changing software? I wonder if the direct download link in your post though is actually an affiliate link, disguised to get as many new signups to the new software, if there is one?

here is the email i received about the closing of the poker room:

    Dear xxxxxxxxxxx,

I am contacting you on behalf of the MergeGaming network, the poker network which G2G Poker was formerly a member of. A decision has been made between the site and the network to cease their partnership, and as a result the G2G room that is currently on the MergeGaming network will be closing on Monday December 21st server time. At this time the poker client will no longer be accessible and any remaining balances will no longer be available.

We urge you to withdraw any balance you have with G2G Poker as soon as possible. Should your balance not be over $50 we suggest either depositing enough to take your total balance to $50 (please do not use any bonus codes as they may have withdrawal restrictions), or alternately you may like to play with your balance and attempt to win enough to take the total balance to $50 or greater.

For any players who recently had real money deducted from their account please be aware that this money has now been credited back to your account.

Should you have any questions about this please contact .

That is true mike, as it seems that the G2G poker website still hasn't launched allowing anyone to visit or sign up as an affiliate with them. This sounds very familiar as with what happened with 3rd Bullet Poker and very Grand Prievish of them.

Just a down right dropping of affiliates of G2G on the merge skin, then sending out direct download emails to recover all players with associated with them without any affilates involved. Once they have converted as many as they can that affiliates brought to them, then i bet they will then launch their website to allow affiliates to open a new account and bring them new traffic.

A very roguish move in my opinion, and i will never support them again as well.

G2G is a scam site with scam management. I lose my deposit and winning with them twice when they changed network. The second time the ownmer asked me to register with them. When when they were moving he sent me a nasty email because he read my post in a forum where I was complaining about losing money twice.

Currently, I don't have an account with G2G and I never will. In my mind, the owner has no business skills.
