how much do you spend in poker?

1 Free Chance at Casino Classic
at the begining i also spend almost 100 $ for poker but in last few months i don't spend anything because I managed to win some money and take back money what i lose at begining, and hope to keep it so

I have started from zero and I didn't spend anything on poker, except a lot of my free time, playing freerolls. but it was worth my time because now I have a bankroll of aproximately 20-50$ on four servers. I had some luck too. :ny2:

I try to live on a dollar a day and all the chips i can eat . here is one big tip for you all. If you see me in a tournament get in because that will be at least 1 person that you beat. :(

In the beginning with me, i spent about
$300 in the 1st 2 months or so, as i got used to playing online
which is a total big difference than playing live poker. Nowadays,
i have since cashed out and made up for those 1st couple months,
and now have a couple small bankrolls i've managed to keep here and there.

Also, i have won some very nice freerolls from forums just
like Bonus Paradise, but i also, once i won their freerolls, i also showed
some support by playing in their buyin games too as a thank you
for the freerolls they allowed me do play in.

I figured it was the least i could do, and i still to this day,
support one or 2 forum's buyin games when i get the chance.

Thats awesome petey, supporting the forums
games after all the work in putting games together for players,
its nice to see some support shown for more than just the freerolls.

Thanks pete for always supporting what Bonus Paradise is doing,
We all appreciate that, and makes us feel good about what we do.

i too am getting used to playing online...only been playing about 2 months, and ive already blown through about 200$...but it's been up and down, i'll get up, then i'll lose a bunch in a row..but i built up such a deep bank playing live games around my town, so this is a good investment b/c i can get a game any time i want!!

Online poker can be profitable as well,
you just have to get used to playing online and i've learned to
be alot more patient when playing online.

You really have to adaptto a players play,
and figure out what type of player they seem to be
online quickly, unlike live where you can see the sweat drop off the trimbling
eyebrow of the guy trying to bluff you. You definitely won't get any
true giveaway tells online, so you have to rely on others pokerplay and chat
words very much.

Also you have to realize you see 4x as many hands online as you would in
a normal live game, so the badbeats seem to happen more frequently. Sometimes
maybe they do, but once you learn to adjust to online poker play,
the bankroll should start to grow if you are diciplined.

yeah, you're exactly right...i don't play by tells anyway...i always play my hand in live games...but even when you do that up here, people are much more likely to take a chance...i don't even like to play at fulltilt anymore cause of all the stinkin donkeys there! it never fails, every hand, or to start EVERY tourney, there are players going all in hoping to suck out with their dirty doyle brunson...and they end up getting a set of twos when i called with pocket K's...doyles room tends to be better, but not by much, lol...

how can i explain this, virtually i dot spend money, because i play freerolls and the money i win on those freerolls i use in cash games, so i never put my money on a online poker account:socool:

Yeah Chris, with online poker, this is gonna be
found at nearly every site, there are donkey's everywhere. That is why i like
setting up private games for members of our forum. By setting up our own private
games, we can enjoy some nice games with fellow forum members, without alot
of the crazy stuff. Also, from time to time, besides freerolls, i can get added money tournaments to small buyin games i set up, like a buyin of $2-$5, i can get like
$50 or so added to the game. Making the pot just a bit sweeter for all that
show our games some support and play with us.

Keep an eye open for these games, because without support from our
forum members for buyin games too, our sponsors will no longer
keep giving us freerolls if they are not getting any support in return.

The best thing for me to do when I began playing poker was to build up from freerolls so I didnt lose any money, and would get a chance to play some real money tournaments before depositing. Now i usually spend about $150 a month, usually playing small buyins and building slowly, which has worked for me. Usually it is a bad idea to start depositing until you've had some relative experience in online play.

I never made a deposit of my own reallife money to play poker. Started playing freerolls about 2 years ago and made a lot of money playing those. If I play play live poker or want to play on another pokerroom I just transfer my money to moneybookers/neteller. I paid a few holidays and a new kitchen (that's coming next month) from my pokerwinnings :)

i spend around $50 a month on real tables but seem to have more luck on the freerolls.
freerolls are entertaining with the crazy raises with free dough.
