Played the EUR 50 rebuy yesterday, also called maniac-fest, so almost everyone went allin in the first hand. The casino even gave a gift to the table that would make the most rebuys in the first hour.
I took it easy the first hour and didn't spew my stack away. 2nd day of the Main event was running also, so I took a look there in the rebuyperiod. First hour is over pretty fast, and chips enough left if you double once. And that happened when I got dealt AA UTG, I shoved my stack in at my hyperagrresive table and only got 1 call
I double and go on to the next hour, phew no rebuys anymore.
The most hyperagressive people are out just after the break
That were the people with the most skills obv
A few minutes after the break I find pocket aces again. UTG+1 raises to 400 (blinds 100/200, ante 30) and I shove my chips (+/- 2000) in, but don't get a call. Maybe I should have flatcalled, but I expected a call form hyperagressive IR. Hand after that I find 33 in my BB, and I call an allin from the buttom who has "only" 1400 chips left. He shows QK, No K no Q. Shipship. Immediately I get 44 in the hand after in the SB and I fold after a raise from bigstack. Then I get AJ on the button, I wanted to raise, but unfortunately I make a stringbet, so the BB can see a flop for free. Flop comes 23J check/check, A on the turn and check/check again. The we get a K on the river, I decide to make a potbet for value and get a call from the BB showing KJ
Now I have a nice 5,5k stack after this nice run of hands
Unfortunately now the worse thing happens that can happen with this stack and the crappy structure, getting tottally carddead
72o, 52s, 39o, I don't get any picture cards at all
The next disaster is coming now, with 2,5k left I get reseated to a table with bigstacks
Blinds 200/400, ante 50, I finally find a sort of a hand, A8s UTG, best hand in hours, and I shove all my chips in and get a call from a guy in MP, not the biggest bigstack, but he thought his QJo were very nice. So I was in the lead preflop (didn't expected that) but unfortunately a queen comes on the turn, and I have to leave the tournament in place 48.
Unfortunately After my hot run from 4 hands in a row I couldn't get more chips, and it was over to early. But it was fun and a good experience for the upcoming WSOPE-event I'm going to play in London. Startstack over there is 10k chips, 10 times as money as in these tournaments in Venlo, and that all with the same blindlevels. So that's way better
