The Argentinean government are reportedly in the process of passing legislation to ban online casinos, citing the fact that only legal channels of wagering that allow for taxation are acceptable.
Many people think that a tax regulation on online casinos would be a preferable and more compromising solution to the problem; however two bills covering the legality of online gambling and gambling in general have already been presented to the government.
In the wake of problems and resistance to the US’s UIGEA and Ireland’s recent interest in using online casinos to provide economic boost, it is interesting that another country wishes to ban them entirely.
