Yesterday have been Poker Domains (PokerStars, FullTiltPoker and Absolute Poker) seized by the Department of Justice.

This will effect more than many would think of by now.

Now we just read an article about Rival Casinos also no longer accepting U.S. players.
Rival powered casinos are no longer accepting US players in response to the 5 US poker rooms that were seized by the DOJ. American casino players running out of places to gamble online.

As of April 16th, 2011 Rivalpowered.com casinos will not be accepting players from the United States of America. Although no statement has been issued to players a livechat confirmed that new US players are blocked and testing revealed that new players are not able to create an account. All of this seems to be a direct influence by the fact that the Department of Justice has seized 5 online poker domains and now has the online gambling industry in a panic. The 5 poker domains seized are PokerStars, FullTiltPoker, UB.com, Ultimate Bet and Absolute Poker.

So far we have no official statement from any Rival.com powerd online casino...

However, the seize of the poker domains is a big step backwards, we all did hope that there will come a regulation for online gambling in the USA soon, but now I believe this is far away.

My english is leaving me....or I don't want to understand this...

Meaning no new players from US or all players out? Or site closed?

What a shock.......

edit: found the article in German now...

The same pic at pokerstars. Just wanted to post this...

If you log in in Germany you get an information that it is not .com now, it is .eu.

Directly an update and a information that Europe is safe...

I saw that they lost there 25 % players.....omg....

I am Canadian..played on Poker Stars last night...just like normal...only no US Players

Land of the free my ass!! Thank god i live in canada. Couldn't believe it when i heard that
this happened, my good respectable side thinks that its complete bs and when is your gov't going to let grown people make their own decisions on where they spend what little hard earned money they have left after most of it is taxed. It's pathetic democracy my ass ...
they should legalize it, tax it and let people make up their own minds on what they do with THEIR OWN money!!!! :hitme:

This set of events is truly disheartening.

I just can't believe there is no "political" pull
out there to overturn this.

Something needs to be done!

The Rival Casinos Black Diamond Casino , Box24 Casino and Spartan Slots are also still accepting new players from the USA.

This move by the FBI and DoJ was not only against the poker sites and their executives - also a number of payment processors, banks and companies, as well as assets and bank accounts in 14 countries.

This will have impact for the whole online gambling industry.
Not only poker players are affected, also those who like playing online casino or sportsbetting online.

I have just read at the Internet that
American players can use the websites to get their funds but not to play poker for money.

My deposit options at microgaming casinos were closed last monday. I am still so angry (at my stupid go government) that I can barely type this. Had to wait this long to be able to think clearly enough to get my thoughts down.

It seems to me that the Department of Justice (HA HA!) and the FBI just MIGHT have more pressing issues to deal with: crazy terrorists, the various drug cartels, pedophiles, pornography on the net (oh right, they fixed that, they all have a ".xxx" in the internet address", the various "mob/gang organizations" in this country, just to mention a few annoying little issues in our country.

We (the citizens of the USA) must look like the biggest bunch of fools in the universe.

They are irritated because they can't figure out how to tax it. The solution is so simple - but as I said, these people in this administration are dumb. And think that arrogance is a virtue. And they love control. We are on the supersonic slide towards bankruptcy - not to mention a totally socialistic state. And we know what happens when there is no more money for everyone's entitlements.

So, now they can stand in public and beat there chests about how they put all of us "internet criminal gamblers" in our place. They should be proud. Kind of like taking candy from a baby. and the drugs lords kill and make money - but Americans are safe from the evil of internet gambling.

Well, my advice to all the microgaming casinos: Make a plea to our government to make up the money lost becasue they had to close the American market! I am sure they will be happy to dish out millions of dollars in the name of "goodwill".

Get the drift of how angry I am! We are losing our personal freedoms in the country at an alarming rate.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend. My apologies for my rant - but I am royally pissed off!
And I am a 62 year old grandma! Hope the close all the freakin golf courses next - you can bet there too!

Thank you all at the BP staff. You are tremendous!!

Shadow, I feel your pain. I have yet been able to express my thoughts. Yes, I may be an admin at BP but I truly love micro gaming play and still in shock. RTG and others have found a way for USA to play, so why not the others? They continued to take our deposits and left us hanging.

Starting to make me think if somehow the poker sites that were seized were somehow tied into micro or were they running scared?

There seems to be no answers. Just many questions.

I think in the next few weeks, much will be revealed.

USA always wants a part of something.

Micro is running scared. what do they think the US government is going to do - throw marshmallows at them? I will gladly pay taxes on my winnings - just like I would at any land based casino. And I truly believe that everyone else who enjoys internet gambling would feel the same. We are decent people, not criminals.

I have four grandchildren. My first, Grace, was born with a brain tumor. Her tumor has been removed but her life is a medical nightmare. Soon after her surgery, I took winnings ($1000) and started a trust for her. Have done the same with the other three. A portion of all cash outs goes to their trust funds. Not alot right now, but over 20 years, there will be a tidy sum of cash. It really makes me mad - the money I win always goes to my children or my mother - I rarely treat myself. My treat is the fun of playing, at home, in my jammies with my ice tea! No road trip to Biloxi, no flight/hotel stay in Vegas.

The more I write about this, the angrier I get. I only play video poker, so RTG/Micro is a push as far as games are concerned. Just like micro graphics better.

The bottom line, I guess, is our personal liberties are being stripped away by the lunatic fringe. We are responsible, tax paying, law abiding citizens - they make us sound like we are hardened insane criminals.

The more I think about it the madder I get!

can you pm me a few "safe, responsible, honest RTG casinos" to consider . I KNOW all the shady ones!!

Thanks

Hi Shadow

I really understand your frustration. I sit here in Europe and I never understood your laws....this is mostly strange for understanding..(just remember in some parts it is not allowed to kiss you hubby for goodbye at the door).....

I cross my fingers for you. Some years ago it happened here too. I was always playing poker at a special site and than BANG....closed for my place....points gone....money was not a lot....

I wish you a nice monday and I find it really nice waht you do with the wins if you win.

shadow, 1st I would like to thank you for your posts,
It is good that people say how they feel about it. Maybe the USA gov will change their minds one day. I am always like WTF, if I see hear anything about the USA and they tell again, Land of the FREE! Ahhh come on! Europe is so much more free and open minded.

I am so deeply sorry for all the people in the USA who like to gamble online, like you said,
many enjoy to play in their jammies, comfortable in their own home.

I wish you all the best dear, stay how you are, life awards the good people in one way or another sooner or later.

from my personal experience, I can recommend the Club World Group
Never had an issue there and they are generous to their loyal players.
