Hi, I am planning to have a heads-up home game against one of my friends but I have no idea about chip denominations and blind structure . Can anyone help?

The chips I have:

100 red chips.
100 white chips.
50 black chips.
50 blue chips.

Please advise me on the starting stack and what chips to put in it and the chip values and also blind stucture. I would really appriciate any help as I need to get this game arranged ASAP as my friend is going on holiday soon. Thanks.

Hey buddy, i used to play many home games myself and its awesome fun! sorry for the late reply but just got home from work. One way we used to do this is we would start with $20 and make denominations

$.25 cent for smallest chip = white (12 chips)
$.50 cent chip = red (10 chips)
$1.00 chip = blue (6 chips)
and a $2.00 chip = black (3 chips)

the other way is that we would start with 2500 in chips with denominations

$25 for smallest amount = white(12 chips)
$50 chip = blue(12 chips)
$100 chip = red(6 chips)
$500 chip = black ( 2 chips}

then the blinds we would run 15 or 20 minute blinds, depending on how quick you want them to go up. 20 minute blinds are very casual for a longer game, depending on the amount of players.

I just noticed that this is for a heads up game so what i would do is this

start with a 10,000 chipstack

$50 = white(30 chips)
$100 = red (25 chips)
$200 = blue (15 chips)
$500 = black (6 chips chips)

i would run like 8 minute blinds starting at $50 small blind and $100 Big Blind. Keep in mind that when playing heads up, the dealer is always small blind and 1st to act in a hand.

Hope this helps and have much fun. if you find the game does not go as fast as you want, then makes the blinds go up every 5 minutes, if it isnt going long enough, make the blinds 15 minutes.

Let me know how it works out for you.

I will do, I am playing on sunday at my house against my mate. We'll have 10 games at £5 each (I'm english, don't know what £5 is in dollars). We're generally the same standard so it will be close.

Sorry for my late inactivity to Bonus Paradise and my (very) late reply to inform you how it went, the game went very well and we had great fun- I made a £5 profit :)

In the end, my friend invited me to join him for his holiday, which is why I have been away for the past fortnight.

Thank Dmoney for you help, much appriciated,:hugs:
