Everyone enjoys playing the slots every now and again; in fact, more casino goers play the slot machines than they play anything else in the casino. Slot machines make up the majority of casino
and online gambling forum income, which is kind of a big deal considering how much cash flows in and out of a casino on a regular basis. Most people know that slot machines are popular and they
certainly know how to play, but not many individuals are informed about slot machine odds and what they entail. To learn a little more about slot machines and their odds, read the information below.

Mechanics

Modern slot machines, as you well know, have a combination of symbols, numbers, or letters that flash when a lever is pulled. The numbers and letters hit combinations based on the composition
of the virtual reel. Interestingly, each stop that takes place on the reel you see may be associated with multiple “stops” on the virtual reel. The odds of your image flashing on the actual reel itself
are dependent upon how many virtual stops take place in connection to the actual stop.

For instance, you can observe the weighted slot machines and the way the actual reel and virtual reel interact. A weighted slot machine is the machine with a jackpot image that pays out at the highest rate.
The top jackpot symbol on weighted slot machine reels is associated with only one of the virtual stops. If you have a good chance of hitting the jackpot image on a certain reel at 1 in 50 chances of a win,
the reels are probably aligned. However, if you are playing on a machine that includes a much larger jackpot, the virtual reel itself will most likely contain far more blank stops. Obviously, more virtual
stops means worse odds for the player - the odds of winning such a jackpot drop significantly.

The stops on a slot machine that are not winning stops are referred to as blank stops. Blank stops are often associated with many more virtual stops than the other images; hence, it is far more likely
that users will end up with a blank stop than a jackpot winning stop. Interestingly, many of the blank stops have a high probability of landing directly beside a winner stop. This causes psychological
motivation in users to continue playing since they get the idea that they have only barely missed the big payload. Although this often spurs gamblers to continue gambling because it feels so temptingly
close to a win, there is really no correlation between the proximity of the stops in question and winning.

Percentages

Slot machines may seem simple up front, but they are actually quite complex and sophisticated pieces of machinery. They are carefully programmed to obtain a very precise payback percentage.
As many of you seasoned gamblers know, the percentage of payback is exactly what it sounds like; it is the percentage of cash that is payed out to gamblers based on the total amount of money they
have input. In order to ensure that players are not being scammed by the casino or online gambling forum in which they are playing slots, many slot machines go through rigorous testing.
Slot machine design is serious business. In most areas, the law strictly requires that any percentages of payback must be above a certain number limit in order to protect users. The typical payback
percentage limit is around seventy five percent. Many casinos offer payouts that are higher than the limit mentioned above because they want users to flock to their casino for wins as opposed to
visiting the competitors down the road who may have a better payout rate.

Slot Machine Odds

Slot machine odds these days are calculated by computers within the machine. The odds for each slot machine are carefully calculated and inlayed on the computer chip within the slot machine.
Casinos are often unable to change the machine odds without completely removing the previous chip and purchasing another. Most people think that casinos can instantly “tighten” the way a
machine runs; however, that is a common myth and should not be believed by avid gamblers.

Machines do not tighten up on their own or at an instant, nor do they loosen all of a sudden without tampering. A slot machine is a programmed device; it will not pay you more if you play longer. Remember
that computers are totally random in the selection of the different numbers pulled, which means that each time you play slots you have the very same odds of hitting a jackpot as you had the night before.

Slot machine odds may not be the best odds out there when it comes to games on the gambling floor; however, no one can deny that they are still one of the most fun games to play. Gamblers still hit up
slot machines more than any other game because, well, slot machines are fun! Gambling is not all about winning, after all. Gambling, in its finest form, is about having a good time. So get out there and
enjoy a fun evening at the slot machines; you will approach a little wiser and perhaps with a little more appreciation about slot machine mechanics and odds than you had before reading this article.

Very informative! So it is not helpful to talk with the slot machines to get better payouts? Like " C´mon baby..now gimme that f***ing jackpot" or "Hey babe - how about some free games now?" :D:D:D

I suppose, slightly hitting the machine with my fist does´nt help also to in

Funny Seaman. My worst nightmare at a land Casino.......

I always tend to end up sitting next to someone who does that. They talk to the machine, rub their fingers on it and such.

Or I end up sitting next to a drunk that wants to bum cigarettes off me and is slurring their speech and falling off their chair. lol

Just put me in my corner to play and leave me alone.
