"Money won is twice as sweet as money earned", says 'Fast' Eddie Felson (Paul Newman) in The Color of Money.
He says nothing about money lost, perhaps because the thrill that a gambler gets out of winning often obscures the possibility of a loss.
Entertainment and joy are the obvious benefits of gambling, but are there any other benefits of gambling, particularly online gambling?

Internet (and mobile) gambling makes it very convenient to get chills and thrills while sitting right at your home, office, in your car, or virtually anywhere else.
Online betting has been criticized for its pervasiveness and impulsivity. Critics say the ready availability of gambling everywhere and the impulsive buying behavior
of Internet and mobile users created a potentially hazardous situation for online gamblers, who were put at a significant financial risk by gambling websites.
Gambling websites claim that they expect their members to play responsibly just for entertainment and fun.

Theories aside, there are many actual benefits of online gambling that are hard to ignore.

Profitability: Internet gambling is the most profitable business on the Internet (for the gambling company, of course). This may not sound like a benefit to you if you lost a bet
recently, but the truth is that the online gambling industry employs thousands of people, entertains millions, and earns billions in the process. It generates economic activity and
the much needed taxes needed for running the affairs of the government.

Stress Relief: Stress is a major problem in today's fast-paced environment. Gambling with a small amount of money takes your mind off the grueling routine and helps you relax.
Betting on sports provides an entertaining diversion from everyday matters, refreshing your mind and relieving stress.
We are not talking about problem gambling, which must be avoided at all costs.

Convenience: Online gambling saves you the hassle of having to dress up and go to a casino. It is a great way to gamble for the beginners, who may feel reluctant
to go to a physical gaming room or casino. Playing online also saves you from unwanted company such as cheats or con artists and drunkards.
You don't need to tip anybody or deal with anyone face-to-face.

Bonuses:
Unlike physical casinos, online casinos often announce bonuses and special prizes for their members. Most Internet casino would add a hefty bonus to their members' accounts upon signup.
There's no such provision in brick-and-mortar casinos.

Free Games:
You are under no obligation to bet real money on Internet casino games. You can simply download the game or play online against the casino website to try or practice the game.
In a real casino, you need real money to play.

Accessibility:
Although it doesn’t replicate the glitzy halls and scantily clad dancers of an actual casino, an Internet casino or gambling website is the only option for stay-at-home gamblers
such as the elderly or women.

There's good in everything and online gambling is no exception.
At the end of the day, it's always about exercising your freedom with responsibility. We hope you do the same.

Yeah, I do agree with all the points that you have mentioned in your post especially when the world is getting immensely rich technically, it’s wise to go for online gambling rather than conventional ones.

@Marina great article.
Agree. The operators are beneficiaries, not a single player. In my opinion, gambling is a lesser evil than e.g. alcohol. But again it depends on the case. bankrupt player who owes creditors hardly agree on it.

I personally don't understand why gambling is viewed upon badly in so many countries/by so many people. To me it's the same as alcohol, does you good if you can control the amount. However, I dont see any western governements or activists running around prohibiting alcohol because it can cause you to lose your head and get into trouble, increase violence on the streets, make people lose their money, decrease your health etc.

Well, Gambling from your living room may not be as glamorous as jetting to Las Vegas or Monte Carlo, but there's a definite upside to it that keeps people coming back for more. Great tips guys! Keep 'em coming.,
