why are there so many sites that will not allow players from the United States to participate?

Hi mgrace I will try to answer this for you the best I can...
Many Casinos will not except USA players because congress has made it very difficult for everyone with all of the restictions they have.
As of now there are 11 banned states:
Michigan, Illinois, Louisiana, Oregon, Washington,
Wisconsin, Indiana, Nevada South Dakota, New Jersey and New York
There are still a number of great casinos that do except the USA...and
Hopefully this matter will be corrected soon!

It seems funny that Nevada is a banned state especially given all of the gambling and stuff that happens there already. Coincidence? I think not.

Of course not- think how much the gambling industry there might lose if online gambling was more readily available.
